You have until Dec. 31 to detect and assess the new risk of work-related stress, both for employers public work for the private sector.
With the amendment introduced in paragraph 12 of Article 8 of Decree 78/2010, the Senate approved the postponement of a deadline than a little worried that the operators the industry, both for the complexity of the subject, both for the lack of any indication by the Regulatory Committee. Paragraph 1-bis), Article 28 of Decree No. 81 of 2008 explicitly states that the assessment of work-related stress must be in compliance with the guidance given by the Standing Advisory Committee on health and safety at work under Article 6, paragraph 8, Decree No. 81/08, and that its obligation shall commence from the time the above directions and still, even in the absence thereof, with effect from 1 August 2010. This date is now postponed to December 31, 2010.
The work-related stress should not be confused with bullying, or behaviors with deliberately persecutors or unpleasant. The risk of stress can potentially affect any workplace and any worker, and his assessment aims at identifying the sources that could result in injury or direct damage to health and to understand the signals that may indicate the presence of stress. Prevent, reduce or eliminate the problem may mean more efficiency and, above all, you can make improvements in health and safety at work. It is, therefore, to recognize the organization of work some risk indicators that can cause stress, among which the most common can be linked to:
- working hours are too long or unpredictable, especially grueling rounds;
- Excessive workload or too low, monotonous or fragmented nature of the work;
- uncertainty of the tasks and duties, lack of information and / or training; - uncomfortable or tiring postures, inadequate jobs, high or low temperatures, excessive noise and so on. Pending input from the Commission, employers would have to organize on their own, or by using appropriate skills in the use of guides and documents developed by different institutions, both public and private, including Ispesl, Regione Lombardia, Confindustria The Order of Psychologists of Emilia-Romagna, and others. Moreover, the committee specifically set up in the committee for the deepening of the theme has temporarily ceased operations. The Ministry of Labour has, in fact, expressed the need for depth in the field, mainly because of discrepancies between the draft document, prepared at the request of the Committee and requests for changes made by the regions and ISPESL.
